Department Features:

Our department actively strives to become the most comprehensive and diverse center for advertising education in Taiwan. Our educational objectives and features encompass a blend of advertising expertise and humanistic spirit. As a result, we have established the Taiwan Center for Advertising History and publish the Chinese Journal of Advertising Studies to promote academic research and disseminate advertising information. Simultaneously, we emphasize practical application, engaging in activities related to digital marketing and communication strategies to explore new frontiers. Our sustained efforts have yielded remarkable achievements, including being ranked 4th nationwide in online presence, garnering over 300 media exposures in the past three years, and hosting the most industry-standard graduation exhibition.

Moreover, the Advertising Department has introduced a series of courses at the intersection of marketing and communication studies to expand into new realms of advertising. We encourage students to pursue double majors and minor credits to broaden their interdisciplinary knowledge. On another note, in addition to the university's library and computer facilities, the Advertising Department provides additional support systems and equipment to assist faculty and students in creating diverse works, such as television advertising editing systems, TV commercial animation production systems, and an advertising and product photography center. During their time at the university, students actively participate in various competitions, including the Times Young Creative Award, 4A Freedom Creative Award, TAA Advertising Strategy Competition, and many national creative production or design competitions. Their numerous accolades have brought considerable honor to both the department and the university.

The range of specialized courses offered by our department ensures that students receive a comprehensive education in advertising, enabling them to excel in competitions. Whether they choose to further their studies or enter the workforce, our graduates consistently perform exceptionally well and are highly regarded and sought after in various aspects of the media, advertising, and public relations industries, earning the department the esteemed reputation of being a cultural hub in the advertising realm.
